About Shene Insurance
Shene Insurance is a professional insurance broker offering a friendly, high quality insurance service to both commercial and personal clients throughout the East Sheen, Richmond, Putney and Barnes areas of London.
We have a large range of personal insurance and commercial insurance policies to choose from - whether it’s cover for your vehicle, home or business – and will use our expertise and excellent relationships with UK insurers to ensure you get precisely the level of cover you need, nothing more, nothing less. In short, we aim to provide the right policy for the right policyholder at the right price.
Our history
Shene Insurance was established back in 1959 by Kenneth Spratt, who was one of the top agents for a home service insurer. Kenneth was joined by his two sons, Barry and Keith, who together recognised the potential of offering a range of insurance products from a variety of insurers under one roof.
By offering clients a choice of products from leading insurers, the business grew from strength to strength and in 1982, Philip Alexander joined the company. The introduction of computerisation in 1985 meant the company could offer an even better service whilst still retaining the all-important personal touch.
In 2006, Philip and his wife Deborah bought the business from Barry and Keith Spratt, who have now retired. This change ensures that the wealth of experience and quality of service built up over more than 50 years is maintained and developed and clients continue to benefit from the honest, expert service they have come to rely on.
