50th Anniversary Celebration

Shene (Insurance) Ltd is a friendly, professional insurance brokers who offer a high quality service for a large range of insurance policies whether for your vehicle or home or your business.

In 1959 Kenneth Spratt, who was one of the top agents for a home service insurer, saw the potential of offering a range of insurance policies from a variety of insurers and therefore decided to obtain agencies with a number of insurance companies. He also opened premises in the Upper Richmond Road West, East Sheen and Shene (Insurance) Ltd started trading. In the 1970’s Mr Spratt’s two sons, Barry and Keith, joined their father, following a number of years working for insurance company gaining experience helpful to Shene (Insurance) Ltd.

Over the following years the business grew and in 1982 Philip Alexander joined the company. The introduction of computerisation in 1985 added the ability to offer an even better service, retaining the high level of personal touch and the company expanded over the following years.

In 2006 a MBO took place and Philip and his wife, Deborah, purchased the business from Barry and Keith Spratt, who have now retired. This change ensures that the wealth of experience and quality of service is maintained and we look forward to celebrating Shene (Insurance) Ltd’s 50th year of trading.
