Whether you are a one-man band or an international company, liability insurance is essential to protect your
business and give you peace of mind.
What am I covered for?
Public Liability
Public Liability provides you with cover against a claim for accidental injury to any person and accidental
loss or damage to material property. For example you are fitting a mirror to the wall in a bathroom and one
of the tools you are using is accidentally dropped and goes through the wash hand basin.
Employers Liability
Employers Liability provides cover against a claim made by any employed person in respect of injury. Note
that an employed person is not only a direct employee but includes labour only sub-contractors and self-
employed persons working under your control or supervision.
What cover do I need by law?
The law requires every company employing employees or labour only sub-contractors and self-employed persons
working under your control or supervision to have Employers Liability coverage.
The extra covers that are available under this type of policy will include:
• Contract Works
• Own Plant, Tools and Equipment
• Hire In Plant
• Personal Accident
